Josh Reddick went deep three times to power the Athletics' rout of the Blue Jays on Friday

Athletics right fielder Josh Reddick hit three home runs and drove in five runs as Oakland blew out the Blue Jays, 14-6, on Friday.

Reddick's first home run came in his second plate appearance. Facing Blue Jays starter Esmil Rogers with two outs, Reddick took a hanging 1-0 slider deep to right field, depositing it in the second deck. Rogers was able to get the next out, but Reddick's monster blast was the already the third home run off him in the game and he did not return to start the fourth inning.

Reddick came to the plate with two outs again in the fifth inning, this time facing right-hander Neil Wagner. Reddick went the other way, hitting a 97 mph fastball just over the left field wall.

Reddick's final blast of the game came in the sixth inning. Once again, Reddick came to the plate with two outs, but this time, he also had runners on first and second ahead of him. Lefty Juan Perez left a 2-0 slider up in the zone and Reddick connected with another huge shot to right field.

Reddick's final at-bat resulted in an uneventful ground out in the eight inning, but the damage was done. Led by Reddick's three blasts, the Athletics totaled 14 runs on 17 hits for the win.
