Evan Longoria went deep in the third inning to extend Tampa Bay's lead over Texas.

The Tampa Bay Rays hold a 3-1 lead over the Texas Rangers after four innings in the AL Tiebreaker game on Monday in Arlington, Texas.

The Rangers got on the board in the bottom of the third inning on Ian Kinsler's bloop single, which scored Craig Gentry. However, the Rays jumped out to a three-run lead after Evan Longoria hit a two-out, two-run homer off of Texas starter Martin Perez in the top half of the frame.

Longoria has two knocks to lead all hitters. Rays starter David Price has allowed the one run on three hits in four innings of work. He's notched a pair of strikeouts. Perez has racked up four punch outs but has walked two and given up four hits.
