Gio Gonzalez threw 35 pitches in bullpen session


Washington Nationals' lefty Gio Gonzalez was placed on the 15-Day DL with shoulder inflammation on May 18th. Nats' skipper Matt Williams told reporters today that Gonzalez threw his first bullpen session since landing on the DL.

Nats drop 8-5 decision in frustrating fashion


The Washington Nationals fell behind 4-0, but rallied to tie it on a Wilson Ramos home run in the seventh only to lose it in extra innings when the Miami Marlins put together a four-run frame. 8-5 final. Nationals now 25-27.
