(Sports Network) - Chien-Ming Wang takes another crack at win No. 1 this evening when the New York Yankees try to complete a three-game sweep of the Mets in the Subway Series at Citi Field.

Wang lost his third straight start on Tuesday in Atlanta, as he allowed three runs and six hits in five innings to drop to 0-6 on the season to go along with a horrific 11.20 earned run average.

In his four starts since returning to the rotation following a stint in the bullpen, Wang is 0-3 with a 7.27 ERA.

The right-hander is 1-1 with a 4.96 ERA in two career starts versus the Mets.

The Yankees clinched the season series from the Mets on Saturday, as A.J. Burnett allowed just one hit in his team's 5-0 win.

Burnett (6-4) lasted seven innings and struck out a season-best 10 batters while walking three. Brian Bruney and David Robertson each tossed an a scoreless frame in relief.

"From the first inning, man," Burnett said with a laugh when asked when he started thinking about a no-hitter. "I look up and knew what I had, so I knew what was going on...When we click like that it's definitely fun to watch and be a part of."

Jorge Posada smacked a three-run, opposite-field homer for the Yankees, who won their fourth straight game. Nick Swisher had a solo home run in the win, while Alex Rodriguez was responsible for the other run.

The Yankees were without the services of shortstop Derek Jeter -- for the second time in as many games -- and left fielder Johnny Damon due to the flu.

Alex Cora had the lone hit for the Mets, who have been outscored 29-1 over their last three losses to their crosstown rivals. Tim Redding (1-3) took the loss after giving up five runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings of work, as the Mets lost for the seventh time in 11 tries.

Reversing that trend may be easier said than done tonight, as Mets starter Livan Hernandez carries an 0-3 lifetime mark against the Yankees into tonight's outing.

Hernandez, though, has been a pleasant surprise for the Mets in posting a 5-2 mark to go along with a 4.05 ERA. Since the start of May, Hernandez has gone 4-1, while surrendering three runs or less in eight of his 10 outings.

The Yankees took two of three from the Mets earlier this month, but the Mets won last year's series, four games to two. The Yanks, though, took two of three in Flushing a year ago.
