No Offense, No Furcal Means No Win For Dodgers

The Dodgers managed just one run against Bronson Arroyo and the Cincinnati bullpen, losing to the Reds 2-1, but the bigger loss was that of Rafael Furcal. The Dodgers' shortstop, who already missed 37 games with a broken left thumb this season, injured his left side on a throw to third base in the second inning and was removed from the game one half-inning later.

Garland To Disabled List Would Open Door For Rubby Tuesday

The Dodgers open up a three-game series in Cincinnati tonight, with Hiroki Kuroda facing Bronson Arroyo in the first game of a 10-game road trip for the Dodgers. The Dodgers are expected to activate relief pitcher Vicente Padilla but the DL tally will remain at eight, as Jon Garland will likely head the disabled list with right shoulder inflammation.
