Jon Garland pitched a quality start but unfortunately for the Dodgers, Ubaldo Jimenez was much, much better, leading the Rockies to a 3-0 win at Dodger Stadium, preventing a Dodger sweep. Jimenez, who was winless in his last 12 starts dating back to last season, pitched a complete game shutout. It was by far the best game score of the season by an opposing starter against the Dodgers.

Well, this is going better than expected.

The Dodgers are in rarefied air tonight, as they have a chance for their first series sweep of the season. In fact, it is only their second chance at a sweep this year.
