Chipper homers on his 40th birthday and Martin Prado delivers the heroics in Atlanta's win over the Dodgers.
Martin Prado's RBI triple in the top of the ninth off Javy Guerra gave the Atlanta Braves a 4-3 win at Dodger Stadium. The win snapped an eight-game home winning streak for the Dodgers, dating back to last season.
But the Dodgers got their answer on Monday night, in the form of right elbow tendinopathy for Matt Guerrier. The right-hander, who last pitched Wednesday in Milwaukee, was placed on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday, retroactive to April 19, and the Dodgers recalled left-handed pitcher Michael Antonini from Triple A Albuquerque.
Tonight's matchup at Dodger Stadium features two of the top six teams in baseball in terms of run differential so far this season. The Dodgers (13-4) are tied with the Texas Rangers for the best record in baseball, while the Braves (10-7) are two and a half games behind the Washington Nationals in the National League East.
