The Mets lost another ugly game and series in Atlanta, but what else is new? At least the season is not over.
Ben Sheets was impressive in his Braves debut, shutting out the Mets over six innings and striking out five. Freddie Freeman hit his 12th home run of the season to help the Braves to their seventh straight win.
Johan Santana allowed six runs in the fifth inning, and the Mets' offense didn't do much of anything in support.
