Chad Billingsley had a successful return from the disabled list, and his middle infield provided the offensive support as the Dodgers topped the St. Louis Cardinals 5-3 Monday night for their fifth straight win. Shortstop Luis Cruz homered.
The Dodgers activated Chad Billingsley from the disabled list on Monday, to start the series opener in St. Louis against the Cardinals. Monday was the first day Billingsley was eligible to return, as he last started on July 7 in Arizona.
