Tuesday night's postgame reaction after the Dodgers' 4-1 loss to the Giants were focused on three players: Joe Blanton, Matt Kemp, and Andre Ethier.
The Dodgers were shut down on offense for the second straight night, while Angel Pagan and the Giants cruised to a 4-1 win on Tuesday before a vociferous full house at Dodger Stadium.
The move by the Dodgers to activate Rubby De La Rosa on Tuesday before their game with the Giants was a bit surprising, even to De La Rosa himself. The right-hander, 378 days removed from Tommy John surgery, figured his call-up would be in September.
The Dodgers and Giants have split 10 games this season, and when Joe Blanton and Tim Lincecum take the mound Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium they will have a high standard to reach. Starting pitching has been stellar in this rivalry all season.
