Slump? What slump? Adrian Gonzalez turned the quiet murmurs of worry into a loud ovation as he doubled home two runs in the ninth inning, turning a one-run deficit into a 5-4 Dodgers win over the Diamondbacks and a series split for the Dodgers.
The Dodgers added another pinch hitter to their bench on Sunday before their game with the Diamondbacks, as Bobby Abreu was promoted from Triple A Albuquerque. Abreu will wear number 12, as first baseman Adrian Gonzalez has his old 23.
Chris Capuano has struggled over the last two months or so, but the left-hander looks to turn things around in the Dodgers' series finale on Sunday afternoon against the Diamondbacks at Dodger Stadium.
