The Washington Nationals finished the season series with the Miami Marlins with a loss and now start one of the biggest weeks in the franchise's history with a three-game set against the New York Mets.
The Miami Marlins and starter Ricky Nolasco dominated the Washington Nationals in the series and season finale between the NL East rivals, winning 8-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The Washington Nationals fought their way back to tie it in the ninth on a Jayson Werth home run after a two and a half hour delay and then beat the Miami Marlins 7-6 in the 10th on a Corey Brown walk-off single.
