Jerry Hairston Jr., who has struggled so far this spring with five throwing errors, was diagnosed on Saturday with right shoulder inflammation. Hairston, who jammed his right shoulder while with the Milwaukee Brewers on a slide into first base in Game 6 of the NLCS last year against the St. Louis Cardinals, was examined by Dr. Neal ElAttrache on Saturday.

It is getting to that point in the spring when relief pitchers start throwing on back-to-back days once or twice to get them ready for the regular season. This weekend, six Dodgers relievers will throw both days, beginning with this afternoon's matchup at Camelback Ranch against the Cleveland Indians.
