The Los Angeles Angels are reportedly interested in closer Francisco Cordero, formerly of the Cincinnati Reds. Cordero has listed the Angels among the finalists for his services, along with the Orioles, Phillies, and Blue Jays.

Tyler Chatwood couldn't make it out of the fourth inning Friday night as the Los Angeles Angels were hammered 13-5 by the Minnesota Twins at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, falling further back in the American League West.

For the second time in the series, the Angels homered off closer Mariano Rivera, but on Thursday it was too little, too late. Down four in the ninth, Russell Branyan's three-run shot pulled the Angels close, but they lost 6-5 to the Yankees.
