The Arizona Diamondbacks have placed infielder John McDonald on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left oblique.
John McDonald was placed on the disabled list Monday with a strained oblique. Geoff Blum, who sustained the same injury in spring training, was reinstated.
The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired third baseman Josh Bell from the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for cash. Bell is in his third year and has show meager offensive production, batting only .200 in his two years.
