The 2012 Miami Marlins Season Review series continues with a look at Gaby Sanchez and his horrific first half as a Marlin.
The Miami Marlins trade first baseman Gaby Sanchez to the Pittsburgh Pirates for outfielder Gorkys Hernandez and the Pirates' competitive balance draft pick. The Fish gain some value back for a player who lost all of his value in a horrendous 2012.
If Gaby Sanchez does not tear it up in Triple-A now that he has been demoted again, salaries and arbitration could prevent him from returning in 2013.
Just last year, Marlins first baseman Gaby Sanchez played in THE ALL-STAR GAME. Now he's been sent to the minors -- for the second this season, no less -- leaving us to wonder what happened.
