Assets
  • He's got a low-90s fastball but it's his forkball that mystifies hitters -- it's just so tempting but they can't reach it. His slider gets him out of jams.
Flaws
  • Cecil Fielder at his chunkiest could have stolen off him thanks to his bizarre, time-consuming, corkscrew delivery. His fastballs are too often up in the strike zone, allowing too many hitters to take a trot. He has some control problems, resulting in a lot of wild pitches.

  • Seems to have lost his big-league stuff.
