Assets
  • He has average stuff, but he has the ability to run it in on lefties, and induces lots of ground ball outs when the team really needs them.
Flaws
  • Curiously, the diminutive southpaw isn't always effective against left-handed hitters. Holtz also gets into trouble when he gets behind in counts. This can bring his pitches into the fat part of the plate, and with his average velocity, he gets rocked when this happens.
Career Potential
  • His hopes to be a regular big-league reliever are running out.
