Assets
  • Sauerbeck is basically a two-pitch pitcher. He throws a hard breaking curve to lefties and runs a fastball down and in against righties. He has an above-average pickoff move and is very agile off the mound.
Flaws
  • Although he has two quality pitches, he has only one pitch for lefties and one for righties. When his fastball isn't moving he gets pounded. As a result he is forced to work off the plate and gives up a significant amount of walks.
Career Potential
  • He's a decent left-handed relief specialist and nothing more.
