Four of the six D-backs affiliates won on Saturday, mostly in the lower levels. Our Dominican team shut out the opposition, and Low A-ball Yakima won in 12 innings.

It's not everyday that the Latin American summer leagues get press, and that's a shame. On the same day that former DSL-Diamondback Miguel Montero went yard against the Giants, a couple of new DSL-backs were solid in the Dominican.

The D-backs notched another tally in the win column against Florida on Saturday, though the minor-league affiliates had a 2-3 day. Nonetheless, plenty of encouraging performances could be found in the system, particularly at Triple-A Reno, where two Spring Training studs had great days.
