The Washington Nationals completed a four-game sweep of the NL East rival Phillies with a 6-1 on Thursday. The Nationals send the Phillies blundering towards the playoffs wondering if they just got a glimpse of the future.
Nationals rookie second baseman Steve Lombardozzi scored his first Major League hit and Major League RBI which made the difference in a close contest between the two NL East rivals.
The Washington Nationals offense returned on Tuesday night with a vengeance and the Atlanta Braves were no match as four different Nationals hit home runs and Livan Hernandez put on another terrific performance.
