Today is must-see TV, as the Dodgers battle the Rangers for the second straight day. This time the Dodgers are at home, and the game at Camelback Ranch will be televised on Prime Ticket and MLB Network. Clayton Kershaw will start for the Dodgers, making his fourth start of the spring, and Hong-Chih Kuo is scheduled to make his second Cactus League appearance on the mound as well.

The Dodgers have quite the busy weekend, as they play split squad games both today and tomorrow. Today, the Dodgers make two trips, one to Scottsdale to face the Giants, and the other to Surprise to face the Royals, who have old friend Wilson Betemit starting at third base.

Spring training stats don't mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things, unless of course your team is the one hitting bombs all day. The Dodgers broke out the lumber today in Phoenix, hitting four home runs to defeat the Milwaukee Brewers 7-1 at Maryvale Stadium.

James Loney had an MRI on his left knee this morning after he felt some stiffness. Don Mattingly didn't think the injury was serious, telling Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times, "He’s not feeling any pain. We just want to find out early." The Dodgers await the results of the test this afternoon, but in the meantime the first baseman will miss today's game.

The Dodgers today released their list of non-roster invitees to spring training, which includes the reigning organizational minor league player and pitcher of the year. Jerry Sands, ranked by True Blue LA readers as the top Dodger prospect, and Rubby De La Rosa, ranked No. 4, will be joined by shortstop Dee Gordon in big league camp when spring training starts next month at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Arizona.

Here is a run down of the Dodgers minor league transactions for 2011 which include invitations to spring training. The 2010 Dodgers had eight players signed to minor league contracts who eventually played with the major league team: Justin Miller, Ramon Ortiz, Russ Ortiz, Jeff Weaver, John Lindsey, Nick Green, Garret Anderson, and Jay Gibbons.
