The Padres outfielder will trade in his Padres uniform for an Italian one for a few weeks in March. He'll play for Team Italy in the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
The San Diego Padres have agreed to a two-year, $4.25 million contract extension with outfielder Chris Denorfia. The 32-year-old will earn $2 million in 2013 and $2.25 million in 2014.
