The Mets announced this morning that they have officially brought back middle infielder Omar Quintanilla on a minor league contract.
Omar Quintanilla has returned to Queens, though this time he's on a minor-league deal and will have to earn his spot in spring training.
The journeyman infielder returns to New York after just a half season away.

The Houston Astros have claimed outfielder Steve Pearce off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles, according to Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com.
