Largely lost in all the Hill kerfuffle yesterday, was the news that the Diamondbacks have re-signed an old face. Catcher Rod Barajas has been given a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training.
The Diamondbacks add some depth at catcher, signing Wil Nieves.
The former Athletic and Yankee has signed a one year/3 Million Dollar deal with the D'Backs. Wil Nieves returns in the backup Catcher role for one year/800,000 dollars.
