Orioles pick up option on Trembley for 2010

Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Dave Trembley will be back as manager for the Orioles in 2010.
Baltimore exercised its option on Trembley's contract, it was announced Friday, to keep him in his role for a fourth season.
Trembley was initially promoted from his position as bullpen coach to manager in June 2007, replacing the dismissed Sam Perlozzo. The club removed the interim tag on August 22 of that year, and the Orioles went 40-53 under him.
Baltimore then went 68-93 in 2008 and owns a 62-98 record so far this season. The Orioles sit in last place in the AL East, 40 games behind the New York Yankees.
Trembley, in his 25th season in pro baseball, was a longtime minor league coach before joining the Orioles' staff.
