Yankees OF Cabrera leaves game

Sports Network | November 2, 2009

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - New York Yankees center fielder Melky Cabrera left Game 4 of the World Series in the sixth inning Sunday against the Phillies due to a slight strain of his left hamstring.

The Yankees won the game, 7-4, leaving them a victory away from a 27th title in franchise history. They lead the best-of-seven series, 3-1.

Cabrera came up holding his hamstring after running out a ground ball to end the top of the frame. He was replaced in the outfield by Brett Gardner.

Prior to his departure, Cabrera had an infield single in the fifth inning and scored on a Johnny Damon base hit. That was New York's fourth run of the night.
