The Twins defeated the Kansas City Royals by a 5-4 score on Monday afternoon, helping them to maintain their 3 1/2 game lead over the streaking Chicago White Sox.
A strange game-ending play resulted in the Twins hanging on for a 6-5 victory and a three-game sweep of the AL West leaders.
Baker only lasted two innings, and the Twins blew a four-run lead in the eighth inning as they saw their AL Central lead shrink to 3.5 games.
