It looks like Landon Donovan may be ready a few days ahead of schedule. After telling reporters that he was aiming for a return when the playoffs start less than a week ago, the LA Galaxy midfielder is now saying he can play as early as Sunday's regular-season finale against the Seattle Sounders.
At @lagalaxy training today, @landondonovan said "I'm available. I'm ready to play." Expect to see him against Seattle.

Although the Galaxy have almost literally nothing to play for at this point, being as they are locked into the No. 4 playoff seed and can't really improve their prospects for making next year's CONCACAF Champions League by virtue of a good finish this year, it does make some sense for Donovan to return this week. Donovan hasn't played since Oct. 6 against Real Salt Lake, when he suffered his injury and this would be his last chance to get some game action before the Galaxy's playoff game against the Vancouver Whitecaps next Thursday.
