The MLS Cup Playoff will begin in the Wild Card Round, where Vancouver visits Los Angeles and Houston heads to Chicago.
The first round of the MLS Cup Playoffs is set. It is the Wild Card Round, which pairs the fourth and fifth places teams from each conference in a single match, and sends the winners to the conference semifinals.
In the Eastern Conference, it is the Chicago Fire who earned the fourth seed and will host the Houston Dynamo. That doesn't bode wel for the Dynamo, whose run in the second half of the season was keyed by their undefeated run at home. The two teams played each other three times during the regular season, with the Fire winning once and drawing twice.
In the Western Conference, the defending MLS Cup champions LA Galaxy will welcome the Vancouver Whitecaps to the Home Depot Center. As is the case in the East, things don't look great for the visitors. Vancouver has had a terrible finish to their season and lose two of three matches to LA, drawing once.
