Stefan Struve is almost seven feet tall but the big knock on him has always been that he doesn't "fight tall." Against Sean McCorkle he would face a man who was going to look to take advantage of Struve's inability to use his reach and get him to the ground where he could get the submission. It did work out where Struve threw a long right hand that connected and then McCorkle took him down.
On the ground McCorkle ran into a problem though, he locked up a kimura but Struve stayed calm and defended. Once he didn't get the submission it was McCorkle gassing and throwing bad punches until Struve swept him from the bottom to end up on top in mount. From the mount Struve unloaded punches, drawing blood from the nose of McCorkle and forcing the ref to stop the fight.
With the win Struve improved to 5-2 in his UFC career.
