Nate Diaz and Dong Hyun Kim put on a show at UFC 125 that should put them in the lead for the Fight of the Night bonus. For three rounds they put on a great display of striking and grappling that was exciting at all times.
In the first and second rounds Kim was able to get takedowns and control Diaz on the ground. Diaz went for submissions on a fairly regular basis but Kim defended well and kept himself out of most danger while landing hard punches and passing Diaz's guard. The third round saw Kim tire and Diaz avoid those same takedown attempts while landing some very nice punches and kicks. The last minute saw Diaz land a hard flurry of punches but as he couldn't get the finish he lost the fight on the judge's scorecards 29-28.
