I still can't tell if this is legit or if Anderson Silva is trolling us. Do I really believe that the best fighter in the world is taking cues from this guy? Not so much. I'd sooner believe that Stephen Strasburg is working on his pitching with Kenny Powers. Seagal spoke with Ariel Helwani post fight and it didn't take long for the crazy to start pouring out.
Helwani: "Anderson — after the fight — said he learned that front kick to the face from you. Where did you learn that?"
Seagal: "I learned sort of a variation of that probably 30, 40 years ago and I've been perfecting it all these years. It's not exactly karate, something I created that's a little bit different that I thought Anderson could learn well because he's sort of a natural born athlete, has very quick hands and feet and his kicks are good to begin with so I started teaching him kicks I thought he could really hurt people with. In practice he was knocking people out with body shots."
Seagal also goes on to explain how he's never seen it performed in competition and not many people know of its existence because he hasn't taught it to anyone aside from Silva and Lyoto Machida. I would have thought he'd be too busy with his reality show to innovate new techniques. I guess I was wrong. This is absolutley insane. Watch the ridiculous video below:

legit
this is legit. Do a quick search of the internet and you’ll see this… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rAWIqRbda4
in there is Seagal teaching the very kick Anderson used against Belfort to Machida. There
is also a video of him teaching Anderson the kick against a wall… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaVDFW_o1cA&feature=fvst
there’s nothing ridiculous about Seagal. He’s got legit skills. Was trained in Japan for a very long time… just because he’s an egotistical jerk doesn’t mean he doesn’t know Martial Arts.
