The second fight on the Spike TV broadcast of UFC 128: Shogun vs. Jones was a light heavyweight bout between Eliot Marshall and Luiz Cane. Both fighters had suffered losses in the UFC (Marshall had already been cut and this was his return fight) and needed it stay in the UFC.
The referee in charge of the action is Dan Miragliotta.
ROUND 1 - Marshall attempts a takedown right away, but it goes nowhere. Cane already stalking him. Cane lands a hard inside leg kick and left hand. An extended takedown from Marshall misses big time. Hard left straight and an uppercut. Marshall crumples to mat and is eating shot after shot. He's trying desperately to hang on, but Cane is all over him. Marshall tries for a kneebar and it's not going anywhere. Cane is unloading a beating here. The referee is forced to stop the fight.
