Apologies for the lack of video from last night's UFC 128 press conference. For whatever reason, "technical difficulties" prevented us from showing it to you. It's doubly tragic since so much happened during the presser. We'll bring those results to you throughout the day.
Brendan Schaub (fresh off of his knockout of Mirko Filipovic) and Erik Koch (glowing from his right hand KO that sent Raphael Assuncao to the mat) each earned $70,000 in their Knockout of the Night bonuses. Coincidentally, so did Edson Barboza and Anthony Njokuani in part due to their fantastic performance, but also because the card was without any submissions.
Also worth noting, it appears Mirko CroCop may be done. UFC President Dana White commented during the presser:
"It was a good fight," White said. "I was talking tonight about how tough Mirko Cro Cop is. At his age and with the wars he's been in, to see how he gets in there with these heavyweights now that are bigger, stronger and younger than he is, and still holds his own, it's a testament to what a great fighter that guy was in his prime. I have a lot of respect for Mirko Cro Cop, but yeah, I'd have to say tonight is probably the last time we'll see Mirko Cro Cop fight again."
Not a moment too soon. His game is antiquated and body unable to absorb physical punishment. It's time to go.
There's also this video from the press conference of UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones describing the incident where he stopped the robber hours before his title fight:
