At the very first fight at UFC on Versus 3, "Bulldog" Todd Brown was looking for some UFC redemption after dropping a unanimous decision win to "The Barbarian" Tim Boetsch at UFC 117. Igor Pokrajac, however, was looking simply to remain on the UFC roster after accumulating three losses, the most recent to "The Ultimate Fighter" veteran Stephan Bonnar at The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale.
In the initial frame, Pokrajac started early landing some nice right hands, backing Brown up and scoring points. The fighters eventually began to jockeying along the fence for position and a chorus of boos from the Louisville crowd came pouring in. The two fighters separated and it was essentially Pokrajac's round. He landed a big knee at the end of the first frame and cut Brown badly. In fact, that was the fight. Brown was unable to continue.
Also of note: Pokrajac called out Tito Ortiz post-fight.
UFC on Versus 3 results: Igor Pokrajac defeats Todd Brown via TKO (strikes) at 5:00 of round 1.
