Strikeforce Results: Tim Kennedy Calls Out Robbie Lawler

Fresh off of his victory over Melvin Manhoef at Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson, former U.S. Army special forces operator Tim Kennedy made his next move. Or requested it anyway. Kennedy, high off the win, called out Strikeforce middleweight Robbie Lawler. Interestingly, both Lawler and Kennedy have wins over Melvin Manhoef.

The bout would an interesting middleweight tilt, although one wonders if the wrestling of Kennedy would be sufficient enough to defeat Lawler. Tonight Kennedy shot in without setting up his strikes, but Lawler isn't a strong practitioner of the jab. Then again, Lawler has excellent uppercuts and greatly improved timing.
