VIDEO: Nick Diaz Vs. Paul Daley Strikeforce Talk

I caught with Sherdog.com's Administrative Editor Jordan Breen on Sunday to talk about the results from Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley. We discussed everything under the sun, from grading the event (and can the event even be graded?), to reviewing the Showtime broadcast, to Gilbert Melendez's sensational performance against Tatsuya Kawajiri and Nick Diaz's chaotic round with British slugger Paul Daley.

Breen and I both gave short shrift to the notion that the contractual stumbling blocks preventing Melendez from fighting UFC lightweights was little to worry about. Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker went as far to say there was nothing preventing the two rosters from having crossover fights. Josh Gross said today that while it is possible for the cross-pollination to happen, the impediments to making the deal are substantive. Perhaps we shouldn't have assumed that roster integrity wouldn't be more prominently enforced.
