UFC 129 Results: Ivan Menjivar Uses Standing Elbow To Stop Charlie Valencia

The fourth fight of the night at UFC 129: St. Pierre vs. Shields is Charlie Valencia vs. Ivan Menjivar. This is a bantamweight bout (135lbs) and promises to be one of the most action-packed of the night. Both fighters are veterans with fights and wins against top competition. Both have high rate of offensive output and a wide arsenal of skills.

The referee in charge of the action is "Big" John McCarthy.

ROUND 1 - Both fighters start out slowly in orthodox position. Both fighters take big swinges, miss and end up clinching. Hard left elbow from the clinch drops Valencia and Menjivar wastes no time. He's all over the California native with punches and hammerfists until the referee has no choice but to stop the fight.

Valencia's nose appears to be broken. There may also be an issue with his jaw.
