At the Bell Centre in Montreal, the 46-year-old Bernard Hopkins was attempting to become the oldest man to ever win a major boxing championship. Standing in his way was the man he fought to a controversial draw in Decmeber, Jean Pascal.
Round two saw an aggressive Pascal looking to throw hard while Hopkins seemed content to be a little more careful and pick his shots. Hopkins continued to wait on Pascal to come to him as the round wore on and Jean continued to stalk. An accidental headbutt came late in the round and then a wildly missed punch from Pascal.
Again, not many punches landed for either man but Pascal seemed to do the better work over the three minutes.
SB Nation scored the round 10-9 Pascal, putting him up 20-18 after two rounds.
