ROUND 1 - Both fighters stand orthodox and Stann takes the center of the cage. He's also feinting level changes. Stann with an outside leg kick. Another outside leg kick for Stann, but he is cut under his left eye. Santiago dives for a takedown, but slips on the way in and abandons the effort. Outside leg kick from Santiago. Stann returns the favor. Stann times the inside lead leg kick and fallows up with an outside leg kick. Santiago glances Stann with a head kick. Stann sets up with punches and fires off another outside leg kick. Hard left hook after a right straight drops Santiago to the mat. Stann follows up with punches and now working on top in Santiago's guard. Hard ground and pound from Stann, although not at a ferocious pace.

ROUND 2 - Santiago lands a left straight to open the round. Santiago attempts a takedown from a kick, but Stann prevents it. Santiago lands a knee. Hard outside leg kick from Stann and an inside buckles Santiago, but the Brazilian recovers quickly. Weak takedown attempt from Santiago is easily shrugged off. Hard outside leg kick against Santiago. Hard uppercut from Stann drills Santiago, but Santiago lands a nice spinning backfist. Outside leg kick from Santiago lands, but without a ton of power. Another outside leg kick from Stann. Left straight for Stann, plus a right straight left straight combination. Santiago attempts a flying knee and lands nothing but air. Hard outside leg kick again for Stann. Middle kick for Stann and outside leg kick find the mark. Right hand drops Santiago and the Marine follows up. Referee Herb Dean has no choice but to stop the fight.
