ROUND 1 - Weidman lands a head kick to start. Big kick to the midsection from Bongfeldt. Weidman clinches. Tries to throw him over, ends up on bottom, but muscles his way into side control. Weidman throwing right hands. Bongfeldt creates enough distance to regain full guard. Weidman swings the legs, lands a punch, and works for side control. He succeeds. Weidman trapping the left arm as he moves into north-south. Bongfeldt spins back into full guard. Weidman steps over into half-guard. Short elbow. Slips his leg right into side control. He looks much more composed than in his debut against Alessio Sakara. Weidman hopping in and out of Bongfeldt's guard. North-south now. Knee on the belly momentarily. Bongfeldt works his way back to his feet. Fifteen seconds to go. Knee to the midsection from Weidman. Standing guillotine forces Bongfeldt to tap with just seconds left.
