Strikeforce Challengers 16 Results: Caros Fodor Beats James Terry Via Unanimous Decision

Caros Fodor outstruck James Terry for three rounds at Strikeforce Challengers 16.. The Californian had no answer other than desperately fighting for take down attempts. The judges awarded Fodor the decision unanimously with two 30-27 cards and one 29-28 score.

In other main card action, unheralded lightweight Matt Ricehouse upset Ryan Couture by unanimous decision. Ricehouse outscored Couture on the feet and dominated with take downs to score three 29-28 cards from the judges.

Lorenz Larkin continued his undefeated streak by coming back to beat Gian Villante. Villante, a former heavyweight, took the first round on all three judges' scorecards by getting the take down and dominating from top position. But he was unable to repeat the feet in the second and third rounds and Larkin's superior striking made the difference. Larkin even sealed the deal with a take down of his own in the final moments. The judges awarded Larkin a unanimous 29-28 decision.

Former UFC and Dream fighter Jason High dominated Quinn Mulhern to take a unanimous decision, 30-27 on all three score cards. High used his wrestling advantage to control position, take Mulhern down at will and batter him from the top, occasionally throwing a submission attempt into the mix as well.

Julia Budd took a UD over Germaine de Randamie in the night's opening bout. Budd dominated the first two rounds, getting mounted position and threatening with strikes and submission attempts. A late surger by de Randamie was not enough to pull out the win.
