According to a report from MMA Junkie, the UFC has decided to place tomorrow night's The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale preliminary fight card on Facebook. While previously there was no indication the UFC planned to use Facebook to air the preliminary card or even a portion of it - a practice increasingly common for PPV events - plans have changed. To wit:
While Spike TV was already set to broadcast the five-bout main card from Saturday's The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale event, UFC officials today announced the promotion will also stream the evening's six-fight preliminary card on Facebook.
Featuring the conclusion of Spike TV's reality competition series, The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale takes place Saturday night at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
The Facebook stream, which is available at http://facebook.com/UFC, begins at 6:30 p.m. ET (3:30 p.m. PT local time), and the Spike TV-broadcast main card kicks off at 9 p.m. ET.
The preliminary fight card for The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale is as follows:
- Francisco Rivera vs. Reuben Duran
- Ken Stone vs. Scott Jorgensen
- Justin Edwards vs. Clay Harvison
- Shamar Bailey vs. Ryan McGillivray
- George Roop vs. Josh Grispi
- Danny Downes vs. Jeremy Stephens
