UFC 132 Results: Rafael Dos Anjos Flattens George Sotiropoulos In Under A Minute

The first fight of the preliminary card airing on Spike TV at UFC 132: Cruz vs. Faber 2 is George Sotiropoulos vs. Rafael Dos Anjos. This is a lightweight fight, meaning 155 pounds. Dos Anjos is a late replacement in this bout as Sotiropoulos was scheduled to face Evan Dunham, but Dunham was forced to withdraw due to injury. The referee in charge of the action is Yves Lavigne.

ROUND 1 - Dos Anjos comes out southpaw and aggressive. Sotiropoulos is standing orthodox.  Hard inside leg kick by dos Anjos. And then seemingly out of nowhere the Australian eats a hard punch that puts him down hard. It was a right hook that he didn't see coming that he ate with his head straight in the air. The referee stops the bout, although it appears the timing may have been early.

UFC 132 results: Rafael dos Anjos defeats George Sotiropoulos by knockout at :59 of round 1.
