The UFC has signed Robert Peralta (14-3) to replace the spot vacated by Mackens Semerizer on the undercard of UFC Fight Night 25 against featherweight veteran Mike Lullo (8-3). Peralta's trainer, Jeff Clark, announced the news over the weekend via Twitter.
Congrats to Robby Peralta he will be making his UFC debut sept 17th vs Mike Lullo
Peralta enters his Octagon debut on the heels of a string of eleven victories in twelve fights, including a streak of seven straight that stretches back to 2009. The San Diego native has finished thirteen of his fourteen wins throughout his career, with the lone decision stemming from a mammoth upset victory over DREAM featherweight champion Hiroyuki Takaya at Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley.
Across the cage, Lullo looks to rebound after dropping his UFC debut last November against rising lightweight prospect Edson Barboza. The loss snapped an eight-fight win streak and prompted the 32-year-old American to drop down to 145 pounds.
UFC Fight Night 25 is slated for September 17th at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. The event is headlined by a welterweight tilt between Jake Shields and Jake Ellenberger.
