UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz will defend his title in a rematch to former WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber. The two faced each other previously in 2007 at WEC 26 resulting in a submission victory for Faber. This will be Cruz' third title defense.

A welterweight bout between B.J. Penn and Jon Fitch has been canceled due to both fighters suffering injuries during training. The pair fought to a draw at UFC 127 in Sydney. The rematch was to determine the true No. 1 contender in the UFC welterweight division.

In other action, UFC legend Tito Ortiz will look to get back to winning ways in a light heavyweight matchup with TUF winner Ryan Bader. Wanderlei 'The Axe Murderer' Silva faces Chris 'The Crippler' Leben in a middleweight bout.
