Ben Askren defeats Nick Thompson by unanimous decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27).
Jay Hieron defeats Brett Weedman by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
Eric Prindle defeats Josh Burns by TKO (Doctor's Stoppage) at 5:00 of round 2.
Michael Chandler defeats Lloyd Woodard by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

Bellator Fighting Championships 40 takes place Apr. 9, 2011 at First Council Casino in Newkirk, Oklahoma. The card will be headlined by a non-title fight between Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren will and Nick Thompson.

Jay Hieron will face Brent Weedman in the semi-final round of the Bellator 2011 welterweight tournament. Michael Chandler meets Lloyd Woodard in the semi-final round of the Bellator 2011 lightweight tournament.
