UFC 133 will take place Aug. 6 from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Former UFC champions Rashad Evans and Tito Ortiz will face each other in the main event.

Former champion Rashad Evans was originally slated to face Jon Jones for the UFC light heavyweight title, but an injury forced Jones to withdraw from the fight.

Evans was then set to face Phil Davis in a fight that would determine the light heavyweight division's No. 1 contender, but he too was pulled from the card due to injury. Hours after Davis was removed, reports that Evans would rematch former UFC champion Lyoto Machida were confirmed by multiple sources. The reports turned out to be premature. Machida ultimately decided the four-week notice was not enough time to prepare.

A third former light heavyweight champion in Vitor Belfort is set to face Japanese star Yoshihiro Akiyama in the night's co-main event. Akiyama has dropped two straight contests to TUF veterans Chris Leben and Michael Bisping, while Belfort makes his first return to the Octagon since his unsuccessful attempt at Anderson Silva's middleweight title at UFC 126.
