UFC 136 will take place Oct. 8, 2011 from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. UFC Lightweight champion Frankie Edgar will defend his title for a second straight time against Gray Maynard. The pair fought to a draw at UFC 125 in Jan. 2011.

UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo will defend his title against former lightweight contender Kenny Florian. Florian made two attempts at the lightweight crown but was defeated both times by then-champions Sean Sherk and B.J. Penn.
